Job Description | The University of North Carolina at Pembroke is seeking a qualified candidate to serve as the part time program coordinator with the Southeast American Indian Studies Program (SAIS). The focus of this position will be to coordinate USDA APHIS summer programming internships and camps from May to July 2024. Provide support in the coordination and implementation of a camp during the summer for rising 10th through 12th grade American Indian students. Provide support in the coordination and implementation of internship programs for American Indian college students. Provide support with facilitating and organizing USDA APHIS programs related to STEM-related college and career opportunities in agriculture, veterinary medicine, wildlife biology, plant science, environmental science, natural resources, nanotechnology, and other STEM fields. Assist in recruitment of American Indian students for summer camp. Assist with curriculum development, student job placement, and support for USDA APHIS programs THe position will be 10-15 hours per week. |
