Job Description
This position is in support of a Department of Defense customer. Use initiative and an advanced level of experience working with Microsoft .Net, Visual Studio and Team Foundation System 2008/2010 to lead application development & maintenance. Use strong working knowledge of C#, ASP.net and VB.net. Communicate clearly and succinctly both written and orally, and present deliverables and ideas in a formal manner. Work in a dynamic fast paced environment that requires team interaction and coordination of efforts across development, quality assurance and information technology teams. Specifically, the Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for contributing within a team of at least five senior software engineers that designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications. The successful candidate will conduct multidisciplinary research and collaborates with testing and operational systems engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of web and client/server custom software solutions. Determine user needs; analyze system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, acceptance criteria and ensures software standards are met. Responsible for leading five senior software engineers by managing the planning, development, testing, releasing and deployment of custom software solutions. Plan and track iterations/backlogs, facilitate meeting and estimations, capture work item data, conduct code inspections, and control source. Report burn down, issues, risk and work item data to upper management. Requirements: * Active High Level Security Clearance* Experience as an Application Development Team Lead * BS Computer Science, Mathematics or IT related field Familiarity with the Capability Maturity Model and/or Team Software Processes Familiarity with Agile Development Methodologies/Practices * 4-6 years experience in Object Oriented Development; specifically C#, ASP.Net and/or VB.Net * Familiarity with using Visual Studio 2008 Familiarity with using Team Foundation Suite Familiarity with using Microsoft Office and SharePoint 2008/2010 Desired Requirements: * Military background and Experience with Special Operations. * Familiarity with SharePoint Object Model Familiarity with 3rd Party Controls such as Telerik * Familiarity with Microsoft Silverlight Fulcrum IT Services is an information technology (IT) company based in Manassas, Virginia, that provides IT solutions and services for federal, state, local, and commercial customers.
